Hundreds of members from the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party have joined the African Democratic Congress, (ADC), in Kogi State.
The former members of the APC and PDP officially dumped their party on Friday at the newly elected Executives of ADC State Congress held in Lokoja.
Receiving the new entrants, the member Representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Leke Abejide, said they will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that ADC becomes a household name in the Politics of the State.
According to him, the party is out to rescue Nigeria and Kogi State from mal-administration.
The lawmaker called on men of integrity to join the ADC in the state, describing the party as the people’s party.
Earlier in a speech, the National Chairman of ADC, Okey Nwosu, lauded the new members for their courage to dump their former party adding that, the newly elected executives of the party should step up their game by winning more seats in the 2023 General election.
Nwosu praised the federal lawmaker for doing the ADC proud, adding that his efforts are the reasons why hundreds of people are dumping their party to join the ADC.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected State Chairman of ADC, Ogga Temitope Kingsley promised to justify the confidence reposed on him and his team by working assiduously to reposition the party for growth and development.
He assured of his commitment to winning more members to the party and solicited the support of all party members to succeed in his new assignment.
