Former Manchester City star, Trevor Sinclair, has said that Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be sacked on Saturday.
Manchester United travels to Watford on Saturday in their first Premier League after the international break and Sinclair believes that anything short of victory for the Red Devils would seeSolskjaer sacked.
The former Premier League winger also said the Leicester City boss, Brendan Rodgers is not the right person to take over at Old Trafford if Solskjaer is sacked.
Responding to the rumours of becoming the next manager of Man United during his press conference on Saturday, Rodgers was not very happy when asked about the move by journalists.
Sinclair insisted that Rodgers needs to achieve a top-four finish at the King Power first if he is to be considered a top manager.
“I was at the game last season, the last game of the season which they needed to win to get into the Champions League and.
“I wouldn’t say they bottled it. but they didn’t have the nous,” the former Man City and England winger said on the talkSPORT Breakfast.
“They didn’t have the nous to beat a Tottenham Hotspur side at home.
“I feel Brendan really does need to get them into the Champions League spots to again be regarded someone I would say is a top, top manager.
“At the moment he is not anywhere near it.
“I think that would be a step too far for the board to keep Ole.”
